Dear Friends-

If I could take a moment of your time to talk about something near and dear to my heart I would greatly appreciate it! Coming from a family of Veterans and being one myself I have become actively engaged in supporting and helping the Disabled American Veterans. 

To that end I am on the planning committee for a major fundraising endeavor for this spring. We will be running a Celebrity, Professional, Veteran Golf tournament this summer. June 29, at Granite Links Golf Course in Quincy Ma.

What I ask of you is to, even in these hard economic times, please consider sponsoring a team. I know the gut reaction is to say it’s not a good time, but please, take some time and really consider it. Perhaps, you can partially sponsor a team and I can set you up with some others to make the whole amounts. Just let me know your interested. Also, if you could consider it I can send you additional information, from or media relations side as well as from the adjutant of the DAV, explaining how we will work to ensure you get maximizing exposure and branding with the DAV, via print, web, and news outlets to name a few.            

In addition would you be able to take some time and perhaps make a list of other potential sponsors and pass this along and better yet send me there contact information so I can make a plea to them as well? Anyone who may be able to give, sponsor a team, or better yet a corporate referral for a corporate sponsorship.           

Within the web site we have set up each level of sponsorship is briefly explained. Again myself, our media relations team, and the Adjutant of the DAV are more then willing to speak or meet with anyone to explain the branding and exposure we plan on doing for our sponsors. Finally, if a sponsorship is something that just cannot be done, you can help me by sending me some referrals, and you can always be a “Friend” to the Disabled America Veterans by donating. You can donate any amount that is good to you and we will list you in our program! Simply make a check payable to the DAV and send it to my office here. I will ensure it gets there and you will receive a confirmation/thank you letter detailing the amount from the Adjutant himself. (keep for you records). I’ve attached links to the DAV so you can see what it’s all about yourself as well as this event. Please, check them out and please …at least give me the chance to speak with you about a sponsorship.
